Colleen's Doctor of Education thesis examines the development of the national mathematics curriculum policy in the indigenous language. Research interests include Mäori education, policy development, socio-political and cultural aspects of education, mathematics education, Maori research, ethics, pedagogy in low decile schools. She has published and presented at Conferences in New Zealand and overseas.
