Te Whakapakari: Research for Social Justice
Teachers as researchers in two schools are engaging in developmental action research projects to raise achievement of indigenous learners. The project researchers report on some preliminary findings of this work.

Colleen's Doctor of Education thesis examines the development of the national mathematics curriculum policy in the indigenous language. Research interests include Mäori education, policy development, socio-political and cultural aspects of education, mathematics education, Maori research, ethics, pedagogy in low decile schools. She has published and presented at Conferences in New Zealand and overseas.
