Dr Deborah Peach

Dr Deborah Peach EdD MEd BEd GradDipEdSt DipT Deborah is a senior lecturer in education at Central Queensland University (CQU). She has extensive experience in the higher education sector with a particular interest in student engagement and the quality of teaching and learning. Her doctoral research utilises the conceptual tools of cultural historical activity theory as a way of understanding problems, tensions and transformations in collective work activity. Deborah is currently involved in teaching undergraduate courses related to measuring student success, teaching students from diverse backgrounds, and communication theory and partnerships. She also teaches a component of CQU’s Professional Doctorate in Singapore and Australia.

Ms Carol Butler-Mader

Ms Carol Butler MEd Guidance and Counselling MEd Second Language Teaching GradDip Special Education GradCert Applied Linguistics BEd DipT Carol has experience in many facets of teaching including general classroom, learning support and special education and is currently a lecturer at Central Queensland University (CQU), where she is involved in teaching undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Education and Creative Arts. Current courses Carol lectures in, focus on developing skills for teaching students from diverse backgrounds and pedagogical approaches to teaching. She is currently enrolled in a Doctoral program where her research focuses on issues surrounding the job satisfaction of special education teachers.
