Diversity Initiatives in Multinational Corporations
This study revealed that multinational corporations are planning, implementing, and evaluating a large number and variety of diversity initiatives not only in the United States but also internationally. The large number and variety of diversity initiatives also show that diversity is a major concern for corporate leaders.

Rose Mary Wentling is a Professor in the Department of Human Resource Education at the University of Illinois. She teaches primarily in the Human Resource Development (HRD) thrust of the department, but also contributes to the Community College and Technology thrusts. Her research interests are in the areas of the career development of women in management, diversity in education and the workplace, and improving human resource productivity through information technology. Dr. Wentling has given over 90 presentations at international, national, regional, and state conferences. She has served as a consultant for many business firms in improving training quality and issues related to diversity in education and the workplace. She has conducted many research studies and has published over 60 journal articles related to her research. She co-authored two books one on Microcomputer Technologies for Developing Countries and another on The Role of Diversity in the Successful Transition of Minority Youth into the Workplace. She also is currently writing a book on The Career Development and Aspirations of Women in Management. She is a member of several professional organizations and has received many awards and honors for her work as a researcher and educator. She received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Illinois.
