Michail Galanakis graduated from the department of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and got his Master of Arts degree on Applied Design Research from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Holland. He is currently a Doctor of Arts candidate at the University of Art and Design, Helsinki. Michail Galanakis is interested in the design and management of urban public space, and their implications in the socio-spatial discrimination against the Other in contemporary cities.
Helena Oikarinen-Jabai is a Doctor of Arts candidate in art education Department at the University of Art and Design, Helsinki. As a drama-educator and psychologist she has been working with children and adults belonging to different ethnic and minority groups. In her doctoral work she enquires into cultural in-between spaces and diasporic identities.
