She has a background in languages and political science, with a Masters in Development, from Murdoch University, Western Australia. She is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Tasmanian Institute of Law Enforcement Studies (TILES), University of Tasmania, under the supervision of Dr Roberta Julian.
