The researchers used qualitative methodology to demonstrate the need for honest conversations about diversity, urging a transformation of these presuppositions to a practical engagement with cultural diversity which includes understanding the lived experiences of their students. They concluded with suggestions for equipping educators to recognize their own lack of multicultural limitations in dealing with diverse communities of learners.
