As results of an explorative study this paper gives an overview of the diversity management activities of four German companies that are listed on the German stock index DAX. These are the only companies on the stock index which have integrated the diversity dimension “sexual orientation” into their overall diversity management program by certain measures. Furthermore the status quo of German business research on homosexuality will be pointed out emphasizing research on workplace discrimination. As an outlook, ideas will be given on how future research can bring together the most common diversity measures that focus on sexual orientation and discriminatory issues in the workplace.
